Ethan Villalovoz is an undergraduate researcher at Washington State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. His research interests lie at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, focusing on reinforcement learning, multimodal systems, and human-robot interaction. Ethan has conducted research at institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, Google, and Oregon State University, where he developed innovative solutions to enhance the adaptability and social intelligence of autonomous systems. Ethan has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the AWS AI & ML Scholarship, the Google Generation Scholarship, and the National Institutes of Health MARC Fellowship. He has co-authored publications presented at conferences such as IROS and has submitted work to the ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Software Testing and Analysis (ISSTA). Upon graduating in Spring 2025, Ethan plans to pursue a PhD in robotics, aiming to advance human-AI collaboration.
